Prof. JIANG Lei from Beijing Institute of Chemistry Visits FJIRSM |

At the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry and the Fujian Key Laboratory of Nanomaterials, Prof. JIANG Lei from Beijing Institute of Chemistry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) in May, 2009. During his stay, Prof. JIANG delivered an enlightening seminar report entitled "Design and Fabrication of Biomimetic Multi-scale Interface Materials" and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM. Prof. JIANG Lei is a doctoral supervisor and research professor of Beijing Institute of Chemistry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Meanwhile, he is the winner of the Distinguished Youth Award of the National Natural Science Foundation (NNSF), the winner of "Hundreds of Talents Project" (HTP) and one of the Ten Most Distinguished Youths of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. At present, Prof. JIANG is mainly engaged in researches on functional interface materials and special infiltration interface materials. So far Prof. JIANG has published more than 240 research papers on some famous scientific journals such as Nature, Angew. Chem., J. Am. Chem. Soc. and Adv. Mater., and succeeded in getting several scientific and technological awards including the Second Award for the National Natural Sciences and applied for over 70 National Invention Patents.
