Prof. ZHANG Hua from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials Chemistry and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on May 17th, 2013. While staying at FJIRSM, Prof. ZHANG delivered a seminar report entitled "Synthesis and Applications of Novel Low-Dimensional Nanomaterials", and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.

Dr. ZHANG Hua is currently a professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. His main research interests include the syntheses of two-dimensional nanomaterials, bio-sensing applications of nanomaterials, controlled syntheses and properties of novel metal and semiconductor nanomaterials, nano-biomaterials self-organization and self-assembled monolayer. So far Prof. ZHANG has written three special scholastic chapters and published 230 research papers in some well-known international scientific journals including Science, Nat Chem., Nat. Commun. , Chem Soc Rev , Angew Chem Int Ed , ADV . Mater . Nano Lett, ACS Nano, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Funct. Mater., and Small.
