Dr. ZHAO Dan from Argonne National Laboratory, USA, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on December 7th, 2011. During his stay, Dr. ZHAO Dan delivered a seminar report entitled “Chemical principle and its applications of metal-organic hybrid materials” and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.
Dr. ZHAO Dan is now a research fellow of Argone National Laboratory, USA . At present, he is mainly engaged in the researches on the design and syntheses of functional metal-organic hybrid materials and clean energy including those on hydrogen and methane storage, separation of carbon dioxide, photocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction, fuel cells and lithium-ion battery. So far Dr. ZHAO has published many high-quality research papers on some internationally well-known periodicals such as Accounts Chem. Res., Angew. Chem., Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Coord. Chem. Rev., Energy Environ. Sci. and J. Am. Chem. Soc.
