Research Interests

1. New Laser Crystal and Non-Linear Optic Crystal:

Research on new structure type Laser and Non-Linear Optic Crystal;

Research on relationship between structure and property of new wave band type Laser and Non-Linear Optic Crystal;

Research on compound function Laser Crystal material and developing integration solid laser elements,

Analysis of growth and related physical chemical properties of the crystal material

2. Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Material and Device:

Research on growth and basic science of single crystal which as ZnO GaN, ZnS and ZnSe, exploring the growth of new type wide bandgap semiconductor material;

Development on wide bandgap semiconductor material prototype device

3. Nano-Optoelectronic Material and Basic Science:

Research on the preparation, finishing, structure and, property and photophysical relationship of nano-optoelectronic material;

Main research direction: preparation of novel pattern low-dimension nano-optoelectronic material; the thermodynamics and kinetics growth of nanomaterials; novel structure of nanophase materials, photic catalytic nanomaterials; defect structure and catalytic property of nanomaterials, assembly and magnetoelectricity property of nanomaterials, nano rare-earth spectroscopy and optoelectronics, rare-earth abio-nanocrystals fluorescence labeling biomaterials and analysis of energy transfer of its homogeneous resonance fluorescence

4. Organic Mineral Complex/Polymer Optoelectronic Materials:

Build new type organic mineral complex/polymer with organic abutment and metal ions,synthesis the complex function materials which possess optical,electrical and magnetic property.Exploring self assembly and composite design of new structure nanoscale polymer;researching structure and photoelectric properties of the type coordination compound

5. Transparent Laser Ceramics:

Research on the sintering and preparation of new type high power all-solid-state laser gain media - rare-earth doped YAG and yttria laser transparent ceramics and polycrystal laser physics

6. Novel thermoelectric materials:

Exploration of novel thermoelectric compounds or composite materials with high figure of merit (ZT), focusing on the structure design, controllable and reliable synthesis, single crystal, polycrystalline powder as well as nano structure characterization with multiple powerful techniques, thermoelectric property measurement including Seebeck coefficient, electric conductivity, thermo conductivity etc. and the theoretical analysis on the atomic or nano structure-thermoelectric property relationships on the basis of DFT, LMTO, WIEN2K, CASTEP etc.

7. Advanced electrolyte materials:

Research on micro mechanism of ionic and electronic conduction in solid;

Design and preparation of noble electrolytes and electrodes of fuel cell;

Application of advanced electrolytes and electrodes materials in electrochemistry filed, including fuel cell and Lithium-ion buttery .

8. Solar cell photoelectric conversion materials and basic scientific problem:

Research on physical refining metallurgical method of solar-grade silicon materials and its industrialization;

3nd wide spectrum efficient solar cell materials;

Research on ultrafast spectroscopy of solar cell materials and its photoelectric conversion mechanism;
