Prof. XIONG Rengen from Southeast University visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry during the period of June 15-17, 2009. While staying at FJIRSM, Prof. XIONG delivered a seminar report entitled "Ferroelectric and dielectric bodies of molecular metal complexes" and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.

Now Prof. XIONG Rengen is a doctoral supervisor and professor with Southeast University in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Meanwhile, he is the winner of Chang Jiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education and the winner of the Distinguished Youth Award of the National Natural Science Foundation (NNSF). At present, Prof. XIONG is mainly engaged in researches on ferroelectric and dielectric materials of metal complexes. So far,Prof. XIONG has published more than 100 research papers on some famous scientific journals such as Chem. Soc. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc. and Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.
