Prof.  LONG Lashengfrom Xiamen University visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on October 28, 2009. During his stay, Prof. LONG delivered a seminar report entitled “Researches on the properties of water with a particular structure under the conditions of confinement” and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.
LONG Lasheng  is a full professor of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University. Meanwhile, he is the winner of the Distinguished Youth Award of the National Natural Science Foundation (NNSF). At present, Prof. LONG is mainly engaged in researches on coordination and material chemistry. So far Prof. Long has published scores of research papers in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Chem. Commun. and J. Org. Chem., etc.
