China-Denmark Joint Symposium on Proteases and Cancer, organized by State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry，Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM), Chinese Academy of Sciences was successfully held at Wuyishan City during 17th-19th October, 2009. The invited speakers in the symposium included experts from Denmark and China. They were Professor Peter Andreasen (Aarhus University, AU), Professor Jørgen Kjems (AU), Associate Professor Hans Peter Sørensen (AU), Postdoctor Jan K. Jensen (CU) and Shan Gao (AU), Professor Knud J. Jensen (Copenhagen University, CU), Postdoctor Masood Hosseini (CU), Assistant Professor Jacky Chi Ki Ngo (The Chinese University of Hong Kong), Associate Professor Mengyuan Liu (Hubei University), Professor Mingdong Huang (FJIRSM), Professor Xueyuan Chen (FJIRSM) and Associate Professor Zhuo Chen (FJIRSM). This international symposium provided a good communication platform for scholars from Denmark and China in strengthening mutual understanding and bilateral research cooperation on proteases and cancer.
