Prof. Masahiro Miura from Osaka University, Japan, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on November 11, 2013. During his stay, Prof. Miura delivered a seminar report entitled “Development of Transition Metal-Mediated Direct Aromatic Coupling Reactions”, and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.

Dr. Masahiro Miura is now a professor at the Department of Applied Chemistry, Osaka University. He got his Ph.D from the Graduate School of Osaka University in 1983.His research interests include the development of new, efficient catalytic reactions for organic synthesis organic chemistry, and design and synthesis of functionalized aromatic compounds organic industrial materials. He obtained Research Front Award in 2012.
