Prof. Takahiro Ohkubo from Okayama University, Japan, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on March 20th, 2014. While staying at FJIRSM, Prof. Takahiro Ohkubo delivered a seminar report entitled “Nano-Restricted Coordination Compounds Structure and Specific Reaction”, and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff at FJIRSM.

Prof. Takahiro Ohkubo obtained his MS at Chiba University, Japan in 2000 and Ph.D in 2003. His research interests include properties of confined matter in nanospace, nanostructure (clusters and small particles), porous materials, methods for analysis of nanomaterials, surface science, and carbon-based materials. Prof. Takahiro Ohkubo got some awards including encouragement award from Japan Society of Powder and Powder Metallurgy (2006), encouragement award (Mitsubishi Calgon Co. award) from the Japan Society on Adsorption (2008), encouragement award from Division of Colloid and Interface Science, the Chemical Society of Japan (2012).
