Prof. YE Zuoguang from Simon Fraser University, Canada, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on April 18th, 2014. While staying at FJIRSM, Prof. YE delivered a seminar report entitled “Complex Structure and Extraordinary Properties of Lead Zirconate-Titanate (PZT) Single Crystals”, and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff at FJIRSM.

Prof. YE Zuoguang, who graduated from Hefei Industrial University, is currently a professor at the Department of Chemistry, Simon Fraser University in Canada. His long-term research interests include crystal growth and characterization. His research in the field of ferroelectrics enjoys a world-level reputation. The 4D Laboratory with a total investment of 300 million yuan led by Prof. YE Zuoguang and his team is the most advanced laboratory in North America. The so-called 4D refers to the design, development, demonstration and delivery of advanced materials and relevant nano- devices.
