Prof. Tomoyuki Akutagawa et al. Visit FJIRSM----Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter Chinese Academy of Sciences

Prof. Tomoyuki Akutagawa, Prof. Takashi Takeda from Tohoku University, Japan, and Prof. Ryo Tsunashima from Yamaguchi University, Japan, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) on June 2nd, 2017. During their stay at FJIRSM, the speeches entitled "Hydrogen-bonding Supramolecular Functional Materials", "Blue electron’ in molecular metal-oxide for macroscopic electric properties" and "Weak noncovalent interactions for crystal jumping and organic redox systems" were delivered by Prof. Akutagawa, Prof. Tsunashima and Prof. Takeda respectively. The detailed discussion was carried out with the research staff at FJIRSM.

Prof. Akutagawa obtained his PhD in chemistry at Kyoto University, 1996. Then he worked as a research associate at Hokkaido University, Japan until 2003. During that period, he worked as a visiting researcher at VTT Electronics, Finland (1997) and conducted research in PRESTO, Japan (1998-2003). He had ever worked as an associate professor at the Hokkaido University from 2003 to 2009. Since 2010, he was employed as a full professor at the Tohoku University. Now, he is the committee and research member of Japan π-System Figuration.

Prof. Tsunashima obtained PhD degree in environment earth science at Hokkaido University, 2007. Then he worked as the post doctor fellow at Hokkaido University from 2007 to 2008, followed by working as post doctor research associate in University of Glasgow from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, he went back to Japan and worked as an assistant professor at the Yamaguchi University. Since 2014, he was employed as an associate professor at the Yamaguchi University.

Prof. Takeda graduated from Hokkaido University in 2004 and obtained his Ph.D degree from the same institute in 2008 under the guidance of Prof. Takanori Suzuki. After postdoctoral work at University of Oregon and Osaka University as a JSPS fellow, he joined the Akutagawa group, Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials, Tohoku University in 2011, where he has been an assistant professor of chemistry.
