Prof. ZHANG Xicheng from the University of Rochester, USA, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) on March 2, 2018. While staying at FJIRSM, Prof. ZHANG delivered a lecture entitled “Past, present, and expectation of THz photonics”, and carried out detailed discussion with the researchers at FJIRSM.
Dr. ZHANG Xicheng received a bachelor's degree in physics at Peking University in 1981, and Ph.D. in physics at Brown University in 1986. He has already published more than 300 research papers and holds 26 U.S. patents. Dr. ZHANG has got many honors including J. Erik Jonsson outstanding science professor, Meggers award and William Streifer technology achievement award.
