Prof. FENG Xinliang Visits FJIRSM

Prof. FENG Xinliang from the Department of Chemistry and Food Chemistry & Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden, Technische Universitaet Dresden, Germany, was invited by the Key Laboratory of Design and Assembly of Functional Nanostructures of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to give a speech entitled “Graphene and Organic 2D Materials: Some New Perspectives” on December 12, 2018. Active discussion was conducted with the research staff at FJIRSM.

Prof. FENG Xinliang is the head of the Chair of Molecular Functional Materials at Technische Universitaet Dresden. He received his Bachelor’s degree in analytic chemistry in 2001 and Master’s degree in organic chemistry in 2004. Then he joined the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research for PhD thesis, where he obtained his PhD degree in April 2008. His current scientific interests include organic synthetic methodology, organic synthesis and supramolecular chemistry of p-conjugated system, bottom-up synthesis and top-down fabrication of graphene and graphene nanoribbons, 2D polymers and supramolecular polymers, 2D carbon-rich conjugated polymers for opto-electronic applications, energy storage and conversion, new energy devices and technologies. He has published more than 420 research articles which have attracted more than 32077 citations with H-index of 86.
