Prof. Svetlana Strbac from the University of Belgrade visited the Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) and delivered a seminar reports entitled ‘Oxygen Reduction Reaction: From Single Crystals to Single-Crystalline Nanoparticles’ on September 30, 2025.

Svetlana Strbac is a full research professor at the University of Belgrade. Her research involves pioneering work using a rotating disk-ring setup with single-crystal disc electrodes to study the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) on gold single crystals and focuses on detecting intermediates during the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER) on Pt using in situ FTIR. Her research also encompasses metallic and bimetallic nanoparticles deposited on carbon-based substrates, investigating the structure-activity relationship for ORR and HER electrocatalysis.
