Prof. LIU Dongsheng from Hongkong Polytechnic University visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) and delivered a seminar report entitled “Dual-Targeting Strategy to improve specificity of CRISPR-based tools”.

Prof. Liu Dongsheng earned his bachelor’s degree in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1993. From 1999 to 2002, he studied at Hong Kong Polytechnic University; after earning his Ph.D., he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. In 2025, he joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as Chair Professor of Polymer Science and Chemical Biology. He currently serves as secretary-general of the Polymer Science Committee of Chinese Chemical Society.
