Prof. Sven Hovmőller and Prof. ZOU Xiaodong from Stockholm University , Sweden , visited FJIRSM at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry. During their stay, Prof. Sven Hovmőller and Prof. ZOU Xiaodong delivered two seminar reports titled "Single crystal diffraction from powders" and "Open-framework erminates and structure determination of a novel zeolite by combining electron diffraction and powder X-ray diffraction" and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.

At present, Prof. ZOU Xiaodong  is one of the overseas experts of the international cooperation project attached to FJIRSM "Structural Chemistry of Functional Materials" advocated jointly by the National Bureau of Foreign Experts and the Innovative Team of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. During his stay at FJIRSM, Prof. ZOU had extensive discussion on the progress of cooperative researches with the innovative team members. Prof. ZOU is going to carry out cooperative research in FJIRSM and give a training course on MOF. It is for the first time that Prof. Sven Hovmőller pays a visit to FJIRSM. The two professors have made great achievements on determining and analyzing single crystals by means of electromicrology and powder X-ray diffraction. Their visit will definitely push forward the progress of methodology of structural chemistry in FJIRSM.
