Prof. Peter A. Tanner from CityU Visits FJIRSM







 Prof. Peter A. Tanner from City University of Hong Kong (CityU), visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) At the invitation of the Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials Chemistry and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), on Dec. 25, 2009. Prof. Peter A. Tanner presented a talk entitled “Lanthanide ions in the solid state: the lighting elements”. In-depth discussion was carried out with the research staff of FJIRSM after the talk. 
   Peter A. Tanner is a professor of Department of Biology and Chemistry of CityU, Chartered Chemist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Associate Editor of Spectroscopy Letters. He has published over 220 papers in SCI journals, including
J Am Chem Soc, Phys Rev B and J Phys Chem. His main research interest is spectroscopy of lanthanide and he is a distinguished scientist in this area.
