Dr. SUN Zhongming from University of North Dakota(UND), USA, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on August 26th，2010. During his stay, Dr. SUN delivered a seminar report entitled “Development of New Synthetic Methods Based on Rh-catalyzed Decarboxylation and C-H Activation” and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.

Dr. SUN got his Ph.D from Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences in July, 2006. After that, he went to USA and did his postdoctoral work in Washington State University and University of North Dakota. For many years, Dr. SUN’s research efforts have been focusing on high-temperature inorganic solid state chemistry, Organometallic catalysis and its mechanism. So far he has published more than 20 research papers as the first author in some internationally well-known periodicals including J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. – A European J., Organic Letters, Inorg. Chem., and his research papers have been cited for over 370 times.
