Prof. Hong-Cai JOE Zhou from Texas A&M University, USA, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on June 2nd, 2011. During his stay, Prof. Zhou delivered a seminar report entitled “Metal-Organic Frameworks for Gas Storage and Separation” and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.
Prof. Zhou is now a full professor at the Department of Chemistry, Texas A&M University, USA, and the director of the Advanced Research Center of Sustainable Energy. For quite a long time, Prof. Zhou has been engaged in the researches on metal - organic framework (MOF) materials, hydrogen storage and separation technologies. At present, as a guest editor, he is organizing a special issue of Chem. Rev.. Up to now, Prof. Zhou has published nearly 100 research papers on some top international scholastic journals including Nature Chem. , PNAS, JACS, Angew, Accounts Chem. Res., Chem. Soc. Rev., obtained 3 patents in USA, and written 5 monograph chapters.
