Dr. Xavier Morelli from Cancer Research Center of Marseille (CRCM), France, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on December 5th, 2012. During his stay at Fuzhou, Dr. Xavier Morelli gave a seminar report entitled “An Example of a Challenging Chemical Space: Protein-Protein Interfaces” and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.

Dr. Xavier Morelli received his PhD from the University of PARIS XI and then did his postdoctoral work at Harvard Medical School for two years. Now Dr. Xavier Morelli is the group leader of the group iSCB “integrative Structural and Chemical Biology” in CRCM. Dr. Xavier Morelli’s research focuses on identifying, validating, understanding and targeting protein-protein interaction in cancer signaling using structural and chemical biology technologies, he has published more than 35 research papers in some internationally well-known journals including PNAS、JBC and PLos ONE, giving a Hershey index of 19.
