Prof. LIU Xiaogang from National University of Singapore, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of  the Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials Chemistry and Physics on October 27th, 2014. While staying at FJIRSM, Prof. LIU Xiaogang delivered a seminar report entitled “Lanthanide Doping in Nanoparticles: New Opportunities for Bioimaging”, and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff at FJIRSM. 

Prof. LIU Xiaogang is currently Associate Professor of National University of Singapore. He has made ​​outstanding achievements in the research fields of rare-earth doped conversion luminescent materials and  relevant applications, preparation and self-assembly of nanomaterials, biological inorganic chemistry and supramolecular chemistry, etc. So far he has published nearly 80 SCI papers in some top international scientific journals including Science and Nature.  Meanwhile, Prof. LIU also works as deputy editor of Science Bulletin and Journal of Luminescence.
