Prof. Jürgen Kohler Visits FJIRSM

Prof. Jürgen Köhler from Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research, Germany, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on December 9th, 2014. While staying at FJIRSM, Prof. Jürgen Kohler delivered a seminar report entitled “Late transition elements mimicking main group elements”, and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff at FJIRSM.   

Prof. Jürgen Köhler finished his PhD at the University fo GieBen with Prof. R.Hoppe. In 1989, he worked in a permanent position as a researcher within the Max-Planck-Society. In 1994, he was awarded the Venia Legendi for Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Stuttgart. He did his research at the Stockholm University, Sweden in 2001, and at the NC State University, Raleigh, USA in 2003. So far he has published many research papers on some internationally well-known scientific journals including Angew Chem. Int., JACS and PRL.
