Prof. Jürgen Köhler from Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research, Germany, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry during the period of May 28th to 30th, 2016. While staying at FJIRSM, Prof. Jürgen Köhler delivered a lecture entitled “Structure and composition of the 200 K-superconducting phase of H2S under ultrahigh pressure: the perovskite (SH-)(H3S+)”. On May 29th, he also attended a workshop organized by Prof. DENG Shuiquan’s group on multi-scale simulations for material properties. Prof. Jürgen Köhler got his PhD at the University of Giessen with Prof. R.Hoppe. In 1989, he was employed as a permanent staff of the Max-Planck-Society. In 1994, he was awarded the Venia Legendi prize for Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Stuttgart. So far he has published many important research papers on some internationally well-known scientific journals such as Nature Chemistry, Angew Chem. Int., JACS and PRL, etc .
