Prof. Hartmut Yersin from the University of Regensburg, Germany, visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter(FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on July 13th, 2017. During his stay at FJIRSM, Prof. Yersin gave a report entitled “Photophysics of Cu(I) and Ag(I) compounds showing efficient TADF. Strategies for material design”, introducing his recent research results, especially the rational synthesis of thermally activated delayed fluorescence Cu(I) and Ag(I) compounds based on the relationship between the structures and the photophysical properties. Prof. Hartmut Yersin is a distinguished professor at the University of Regensburg, Germany. He received his PhD at Technische Universitaet Berlin, Germany, in 1970. He worked as physical chemistry professor at the University of Regensburg since 1989. His research focuses on the photophysics and photochemistry of transition metal complexes. He has published 8 books, over 300 papers and reviews. He has also applied over 100 patents.
