Prof. XIE Rongjun from Xiamen University and National Institute for Materials Science, Japan, visited Xiamen Institute of Rare-earth Materials at the invitation of the CAS Key Laboratory of Design and Assembly of Functional Nanostructures and delivered a seminar report entitled “Nitride Emitting Materials and Solid State Lighting” on May 25, 2018. He carried out deep discussion with the research staff at XMIREM.

Prof. XIE Rongjun is now a professor of Xiamen University.  He is the chief editor of Journal of the American Ceramic Society, the member of Workshop on Inorganic Emissive Display and Phosphors of International Display Workshop, and the member of Editorial Advisory Committee of The Electrochemical Society. Prof. XIE Rongjun's research interests include the applied basic research on rare earth doped luminescent materials and semiconductor lighting device. He has already published 220 research papers and an English Monograph named “Nitride Phosphors and Solid State Lighting”, and got 38 patents at home and abroad.
