The 6th Asian Conference on Coordination Chemistry (ACCC6) will be held on July 23？28, 2017, at the Melbourne Convention Centre, Victoria, Australia. This biennial conference comes to the southern hemisphere for the first time, and will build on the success of the first five conferences in the series, held in Okazaki (Japan, 2007), Nanjing (China, 2009), New Delhi (India, 2011), Jeju (Korea, 2013), and Hong Kong (2015). The largest conference in the Asia/Pacific region focusing on coordination chemistry, the Asian Conference on Coordination Chemistry (ACCC) aims to provide a forum for inorganic and coordination chemists from all over the world to gather together and present their most recent research findings, and to offer a stimulating atmosphere to discuss and exchange ideas on frontier research topics in inorganic and coordination chemistry. The conference also serves to showcase the fast development of coordination chemistry in the Asia/Pacific region. The conference is devoted to recent advances and new trends in coordination chemistry, including electronic structure and bonding of metal complexes, supramolecular chemistry, organometallic chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, catalysis, small molecule activation, functional coordination compounds for materials science, biomedical science, and environmental science and energy, as well as other emerging topics in coordination chemistry.  

ACCC6 will be held alongside several other major conferences: the Centenary Congress of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (embracing all areas of chemical science), Chemeca 2017 (the Australasian Chemical Engineering Conference), AIMECS2017 (the Asian Federation of Medicinal Chemists Conference), and Carbon 2017: Carbon for Grand Challenges (the World Conference on Carbon).
