The laboratory has currently 46 staff members with an average age of 40.23 years old. About 87% of them have doctorate degrees And 31 of them are full professors. Two scientists in our staff members are academician of the prestigious Chinese Academy of Sciences and one was elected to a member of Third World Academy of Sciences. Nine staff members are the winners of the Distinguished Youth Award of National Natural Science Foundation. Other prestigious awards won by our staff members include National awards of ten-thousand talents (6 persons), Innovative team award by Chinese Academy of Sciences, Innovative Research group award by the National Science Foundation, the National Outstanding professional and technical personnel award. Our staff members also actively involve in professional societies, journal editorial boards and advisory committee of national funding agencies. For example, one staff member is appointed as deputy director of Chemistry Department of Chinese Academy of Sciences. One staff member is the member of the Standing Advisory Committee of Chemistry Department of Chinese Academy of Sciences. One staff member was appointed as the deputy editor-in-chief of professional journal “Crystal Growth and Design”. Many other staff members enjoy the special supplemental salary supports from various provincial and ministerial government agencies due to their excellent performance.

The laboratory offers post-doctoral research opportunities in physical chemistry, and currently has 9 post-doctoral research scientists. The laboratory also offers PhD and MS programs in various fields including physics, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and materials physics and chemistry. Currently, 227 MS or PhD candidates are studying in these graduate programs.
